INTRODUCTION

If
you are currently using PayPal to accept payments for goods or services
and are concerned about the security issues involved in how visitors
can easily gain unauthorized access to your products and services, then
this script is IDEAL for you.
There are many scripts on the market that attempt to confirm that the
user has successfully completed a sale, either by using redirect information
or by attempting to mask the thank you page. If you have ever used any
of these other scripts than you should be aware of just how easily these
scripts can be exploited and manipulated so that the visitor can still
gain access to your restricted information, especially if it is in a
download or membership based format.
Well our script, "Paypal IPN" GUARANTEES that NO USER will
EVER manage to bypass the security. It confirms with PayPal's secure
server itself TWICE if a transaction was successfully completed. Upon
completion it will email the purchaser the information required to download
your product. It can EASILY be modified to generate a login id and password
to a database or any other idea in your imagination.
Don't rely
on other scripts.. This is the ONLY one that is 100% secure.
HOW
SECURE IS IT?

It works
by using a protocol developed by PayPal themselves and simply interprets
the information sent directly from paypal during a transaction. The
advantage being that the user has NO interaction with the background
script and therefore cannot manipulate data in order to forge a purchase.
What if
the user finds the location of where the script is located and manually
runs it?
Well this actually makes no difference, because the user must send the
script 26 separate header tags, IN THE CORRECT ORDER, and then even
if they do this, the script will then verify with PayPal's secure server
if the information was correct. Only a VALID transaction will cause
this script to perform the SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT email to be generated.

require the following items in order to use this script:
- A PayPal
account (of any kind).
- A Server/website
to locate this script on that supports PHP. (No extra PHP modules
are needed). CGI & ASP versions will be available soon!
- A Small
amount of PayPal form design knowledge (Detailed information of this
can be found on PayPal's site and an example is included with the
script).
